| Many Thanks
to Blane Leuschner |
A big thank you to Blane Leuschner, Regional Manager, Square D Power Systems Engineering Services for his insightful presentation titled, What You Should Know About Breaker-Transformer Interactions to Reduce
the Chance of Early Transformer Failure. From
the April 24 presentation it was clear that transformer installation takes a lot more thought than setting it on a pedestal and connecting the wires. |
| Thank you for the Brain Party |
On May 1, The
Austin Chamber of Commerce and IEEE Central Texas Section joined as partners to bring us the first ever Austin
Brain Party -- a celebration of Austin engineering.
Engineers drive Austin's tech industry. The event provided time for socializing with exciting engineering discussions, excellent live music by the Guy
Forsyth Band, and a large variety of goodies to eat (more than we all could consume). We thank all the sponsors, Amplify, Dell, IBM, IEEE, itzbig, and Austin Chamber
of Commerce for their support and particularly Amplify for theit kind hospitality and use of their facility.

| Analog
Newsletter |
Some attendees of our meetings have not been
receiving their electronic copy of the IEEE Central Texas
Section Newsletter, The
Analog. If you are an IEEE member, your subscription
is automatic to your profile on record at IEEE. IF you
are not a member, you may subscribe. Details are provided
at the Analog Webpage.
Be advised that
there is not a lot of traffic on this list intentionally. The
list manager tries to keep it below 3 emails a month
- The Analog, the mid-month reminder,
and maybe an emergency announcement, but we prefer 2
emails a month. |
