| National Electric Code Update Classes Scheduled for February |
For our February program, the chapter will sponsor two National Electric Code update classes on Thursday and Friday, February 21 and 22. The IBEW was kind enough to let us use their Austin Joint Apprenticeship and Training Center in south east Austin, the same place we had the class two years ago.
The Thursday class is scheduled from 5-9 PM and will focus on material needed by electricians. The Friday class scheduled from 8 AM to 5 PM and will focus on material needed engineers. Attendees may attend both classes if they would like.
The classes will be led by a member of the Stallcup family, which has trained over 250,000 students in workshops, seminars, and in-house training, and continually receiving international recognition for our comprehensive and painstakingly illustrated publications. Stallcup's Illustrated Code Changes, 2008 edition, will be provided to students as a study guide.
We are expecting an attendance of about 90 engineers and electricians. If your company would like help sponsor the event with a table and display your products, please contact Mike Noth, mnoth@skaneng.com , or Stacy Smith, stacy.smith@austin.utexas.edu
