October Meeting - Load Banks

Dick Scott , Mid-South Regional Manager of Avtron Load Bank, Inc., has spent his entire career working with electrical equipment engineering applications, sales and service. His experience ranges from building automation and controls, motor controls and PLC's, industrial power systems maintenance and service work but his primary emphasis has been power generator for standby applications. For the last 11 years, he has been working with engine generator suppliers, consulting engineers and end-users to develop and implement on-site and portable solutions for testing and maintaining engine driven generator sets. The correct application of Avtrol load banks requires an understanding of the equipment to be tested and installation parameters as well as the desired testing requirements. Dick has always placed a high priority on direct support to requests for application assistance.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend. To RSVP of for further information, please contact Mike Noth at mikenoth@ieee.org.

See the meeting announcement for directions and a map to the restaurant, menu options, and other information on the program.

Thank you Danny Ee
We thank Danny Ee, P.E. of Austin Energy for his presentation on the many factors affecting systems reliability in the design of long haul and local metropolitan networks. His knowledge and experience enhanced his presentation and was particularly evident as he answered questions from the audience. We learned a lot about the considerations that must be addressed if reliable customer service is to be maintained.

Continuing Education Certificates
You may pick up your CE certificates for IEEE meetings at the meeting.

Analog Newsletter

The electronic Central Texas Section newsletter, The Analog, provides news of many of the other IEEE activities in the Austin and San Antonio areas. If you are an IEEE Central Texas Section member, your subscription is provided automatically to the email address in your IEEE profile. If you are not a member, you may subscribe following the procedures provided at the Analog Webpage.

Be advised that there is not a lot of traffic on this list intentionally.  The list manager tries to keep it below 3 emails a month - The Analog, the mid-month reminder, and maybe an emergency announcement, but we prefer 2 emails a month .
