The bar will be available to those who care to purchase
a drink or beer. In fact, there is a service window, so
we don't even have to leave the party room. The menu
will be a choice of eight meals; selection will be done
at time of ordering. The meal includes tea or coffee, and

| Speaker: |
Blane Leuschner is the Regional Manager of Square D Power Systems Engineering services. He is responsible for power
system studies, design, and monitoring services for Square
D customers, as well as engineering support for Square
D’s field service operations. He is knowledgeable
in power system design, grounding, protection, equipment,
and power quality. Blane received the BS degree in electrical
engineering from the University of Texas in 1993. He is
a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers and a licensed engineer in the state of Texas. |

What You Should Know About Breaker-Transformer Interactions to Reduce
the Chance of Early Transformer Failure. Certain system configurations and operating conditions have been found to excite internal
winding resonance in transformers during switching operations. Situations which lead to early
failure and possible solution alternatives will be presented. The draft IEEE Guide PC57.142
will be introduced.
