22 August 2003	Technical Talk at UPM	Limitations of Off-line Cable Condition Monitoring including Analysis of Propagation and Temperature Effects, by Dr Ian Cotton from UMIST
25-26 August 2003	Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD) 2003 at Putrajaya	Co-organiser with the IEEE Student Branch of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)

2 October 2003	Distinguished Lecture Programme (DLP)	The workshop titled "Current Issues and Problems in Distributed Generation" was conducted by Mr Joseph L. Koepfinger. 35 people attended this program.
15-16 December 2003	National Power and Energy Conference (PECon2003)	Held at the Equatorial Hotel and Golf Resort, Bangi, Selangor with 80 technical papers presented. A Panel Discussion on "Electricity Industry Restructuring and Reform" was held on the first day. More than 100 people attended this conference.
