Summary:
Uses, issues and future direction of GIS - This talk covered a smorgasbord of GIS applications being used and under development at SRP.
The various applications were broken down into historical, current, and future applications. In addition, it
looked at pressing issues accompanied by this technology. Twenty seven people were in attendance.
Biography:
Chris Campbell has a BSEE from University of Arizona, has work at Salt River Project for 15 years and is presently the
manager over the Asset Information Technology Services area. In this position he supervises development and support of
various IT systems related to work and asset management for the SRP electric transmission and distribution systems.
Prior to this he was involved in project management and engineering support for the SRP control center IT systems and
projects. His experience also includes several years working as engineering support for the SCADA system installations
at SRP substations.
