IEEE
Power & Energy Society -- Twin Cities Chapter
Attention
Members!
Our next
meeting is upon us.
On Friday, October 3rd, Tom Butz of Power System
Engineering will give a talk on current and future energy
policy.
Topic:
Energy Policy by the BTU - What Worked and What Just Sounds
Good
We are
hearing so much about the desire to be energy independent,
control costs, and be sensitive to the environment. What it all comes down
to is how much energy are we using, where is it coming from
and what are viable options on moving to alternative sources
of energy? This
presentation is designed to provide a high level summary of
energy usage by sector, and sources by fuel type and
technology in order to understand what alternatives are
viable.
Speaker:
Tom Butz

has a keen interest in providing a high level view of energy
policy to other professionals in the energy industry.
