Just as the demise of music CDs has been replaced by the preference for online access, this market choice makes old disk-based versions a niche product type that is less desirable and less economical.

As reported in the SSCS magazine last spring, the Society Administrative Committee, decided at its February 2009 meeting to stop production of the disk based archive. Subscriptions to this annual product have been falling at a rate of 30% annually, until we predicted 2010 subscriptions might be about a quarter of its peak interest rate.
