The IEEE Electron Devices Society invites the submission of nominations for the Education Award. This award is presented annually by EDS to honor an individual(s) who has made distinguished contributions to education within the field of interest of the Electron Devices Society. The recipient(s) is awarded a certificate and a check for $2,500, presented at the International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM).
The recipient must be an EDS member affiliated with an academic, industrial, or government organization. Nominations for retired members, who are involved in education, are also encouraged. Factors for consideration include achievements and recognition in such areas as: teaching awards, evaluations by students, curriculum and course development, effectiveness as an educator evidenced by innovative undergraduate, graduate, industrial, or government education programs, textbooks, innovative continuing education programs, a list of students who have become recognized for their contributions to electron devices, and participation and contributions to the EDS Distinguished Lecturer program. Note that this is an award for contributions to education and the nomination should not include contributions to technology.
