WELCOME

Welcome to the web page of the Forensics and Failure Analysis Technical Committee (FFATC) of IEEE's Product Safety Engineering Society (PSES). This committee targets technical professionals and engineers interested in forensics and failure analysis of electrical products. The IEEE/PSES Forensics and Failure Analysis Technical Committee provides a focus on  forensics and failure analysis engineering. The committee  will help facilitate the understanding of investigation procedure, failure analysis, failure modes, root cause, corrective action, etc. of electrical device incidents. It allows engineers and other technical professionals an opportunity to discuss and disseminate technical information, to enhance professional skills, and to provide outreach to engineers, students and others with an interest in the field.  Find out about membership and the benefits of being an IEEE /PSES member and Forensics and Failure Analysis Technical Committee subscriber.

2011 PSES Symposium

The 2011 Symposium is scheduled for 10-12 October (M-T-W) in San Diego, CA.  Contact for the 2011 Symposium is Bansi Patel (bansi.patel@ieee.org).  See the symposium website for more details.

Call for Papers

The Forensics and Failure Analysis Technical Committee (FFATC) of IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society seeks original, unpublished papers and tutorials on all aspects of forensic and/or failure analysis. Call For Papers for more details.
