07.08.2020
AMC2020 is switched to fully virtual online event.
16.03.2020
Health conditions and safety of the participants are top priorities for AMC2020. Due to the situation evolving and governmental regulations in force, AMC2020 is postponed to 14-16.09.2020, after IES-IEEE approval from 16.03.2020. All accepted papers are IEEE copyright and most of the accepted papers have already registered. The remaining accepted papers still need to be registered in order to be included into AMC2020 conference proceeding and, after presentation, into IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
We have to announce that the postponed AMC2020 will be,
unfortunately, changed into a fully virtual online event.
We have delayed the decision for as long as we could,
but the recent developments with COVID-19 are not
allowing us to keep an on-side in-person event. This is particularly
for the reasons of participants travelling to Kristiansand and of social gatherings.
According to the recent situation, we have about 70%
of the accepted papers from the countries where the participants have,
or might will have, travelling issues to come to Norway, following the
governmental and institutional regulations.
The virtual online AMC2020 takes place on the postponed dates of 14-16.09.2020,
according to the published program.
Final details on the access and online participation will be communicated shortly.
The refund of the difference, between the original and updated for online
registration fee, will be transferred to the registered participants after the conference.
WELCOME MESSAGE
On behalf of the Organizing Committees and Industrial Electronics Society of the IEEE,
it is our pleasure to welcome you to the IEEE International Workshop on Advanced Motion Control (AMC2020)
that will be held on April 20-22, 2020, at the University of Agder, Campus Kristiansand, in Norway.
AMC2020 is 16th in a series of biennial international workshops on Advanced Motion Control,
started in 1990 in Yokohama, Japan, and since there uniting an always young and enthusiastic
research community grown around the omnipresent motion control technologies and applications.
Following to the last AMC2018 in Tokyo, Japan, our wish is to continue bringing together
the researchers from both academia and industry and to maintain a highest scientific conference level,
with enriching meetings and discussions and interesting and memorable events and experiences.
Kristiansand has been chosen to host AMC2020 as the most southern part of Norway,
with its beautiful nature, high integration of local industries, and the University of Agder
as an important host for academic and applied research in the West- and East-Agder regions of Norway.
Kristiansand down-town area is attractive and pleasant to discover for visitors, and the
well-connected University Campus Kristiansand provides convenient and modern facilities for
hosting the scientific workshops and conferences.
Preparations for this event are in full swing, and we would like to thank all volunteering members
of the Organizing Committees for their readiness to serve and continuous contribution to AMC2020.
We want to gratefully acknowledge the sponsoring societies and organizations: The Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES),
and the University of Agder. We also deeply thank to the technical co-sponsors: Industry
Applications Society of IEEJ, Measurement & Automatic Control Society of VDI/VDE, and Mechatronics
Innovation Lab.
We hope that the workshop will satisfy your highest intellectual and cultural expectations,
and look forward to seeing you attending AMC2020 in Kristiansand.
