Poster Presentation
Dear Author,
Congratulations on the publication of your paper in the 2009 IEEE Energy Convergence Congress and Exposition (ECCE) to be held in San Jose, California from September 20-24, 2009.
These instructions are to inform you of the poster presentation requirements. Poster presentations at ECCE are scheduled for a one hour and forty five minute time slot. You are expected to be present throughout this time slot and be located near your poster and available to answer questions. The area available to display your poster is approximately 6 feet wide by 4 feet high. ECCE encourages you to spend the necessary time to make a high quality poster which conveys the information in your paper. It is important to remember that papers presented in Oral or Poster sessions are treated equally in both the Conference Proceedings and for possible subsequent publication in an issue of the Transactions. As a result, ECCE is strongly against authors simply posting 8½¡± x 11¡± printouts of slides in place of a poster. In order to facilitate this, the ECCE conference will be providing an optional poster printing service.
The poster printing service is provided by the UPS Store which is located inside of the Conference Hotel. The store will print out 24¡±x36¡± posters on glossy paper for $32 and 36¡±x48¡± posters for $60. Authors may use the ECCE Poster Template to create their poster. Notice that the area you have to display your poster will be able to accommodate either one 36¡±x48¡± poster or two 24¡±x36¡± posters. These size guidelines insure that there will be sufficient space between adjacent areas to avoid overcrowding. If you choose, a single 24¡±x36¡± poster may be used for presentation. Please note that it is not a requirement to use the UPS Store to print out your poster; this is being offered as an optional service for authors. If you choose to take advantage of this service, please e-mail an electronic version of your poster to Hein Dang at store5833@theupsstore.com along with your credit card information. You may also arrange to call the store at 1-408-573-8788. The UPS store has been having some difficulty handling the large volume of attachments coming in via e-mail. ?If you have the ability to place your presentation on a website and send a link to the store email address, they will download your poster and confirm your order. If you do not have convenient place to upload your poster files, a free service is available at?https://www.4shared.com/ In order to print your poster, you must pay 50% of the cost initially, with the balance paid when you pick up your poster at the store. Due to the expected volume of printing, please turn in your poster 1 week or more prior to the conference. If completing your poster closer to a week before the conference, please make e-mail arrangements with the store if you would them to print your poster.
The poster boards will be available for you to hang your poster prior to the start of the poster session. Please hang your poster sometime in the morning or during the lunch break in order to be ready when the session begins. Please remove your poster at the conclusion of the poster session. Materials to hang your posters will be provided by ECCE.
