IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Travel Grant


The IEEE Power Electronics Society has a travel reimbursement program for student members who present a paper at the Energy Conversion Congress & Expo (ECCE) in Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sept 12-16, 2010.  This program will reimburse $500 of travel expenses associated with the conference for up to 55 students.  To be eligible for this program, students must:

 

  • Have a paper accepted at IEEE ECCE 2010 and present the paper.
  • Be an IEEE student member and a PELS member.

 

Interested students should complete the application found online at the ECCE2010 web site at https://www.ecce2010.org/ and PELS website at https://ewh.ieee.org/soc/pels/.This form is to be completed and sent by e-mail to the chair of the Education Activities Committee before May 30, 2010 at huiliieee@gmail.com with the valid proof of IEEE student membership and PELS membership.  The sample of electronic proof of membership can be found on line at ECCE2010 web site. Students will be notified if they have been approved for travel reimbursement on June 30, 2010.  Reimbursement of costs will be done at the conference registration site. The students who receive the travel grants are required to bring the notification email, filled W8 forms (required for students at US) or W9 forms (required for students outside of US) to ECCE2010 registration site to get reimbursement. W8 and W9 forms can be found on line at both conference and PELS web sites.
