James Nehlsen (Merck)

Biography: Dr. Nehlsen has been developing new chemical materials and process technologies industrially for 18 years. Originally working in the field of catalysis research for petrochemicals, he moved into the Semiconductor industry 11 years ago with the Electronics division of Air Products. He has worked in both specialty gases and deposition materials R&D. Currently he leads the Specialty Gases R&D group at Merck. He is based at Merck’s manufacturing and R&D site in Hometown, Pennsylvania, USA. He holds a PhD in chemical engineering from Princeton University.
