Solid-State High-Gain Optical Sensors with a Non-Avalanche Approach

Yihong Qi (Foshan Retinal Insights Technology Co. Ltd. and Sun Yat-sen University)

Biography: Yihong Qi is currently affiliated with Foshan Retinal Insights Technology Co. Ltd. and Sun Yat-sen University in China. She received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in information and communication engineering from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, in 2017 and 2021 respectively. The focus of her research is on the low-power high-gain optical and image sensors. The goal is to achieve CMOS-compatible high performance optical and image sensors for low-level light detection applications including capsule endoscopy, biomedical imaging, and spectroscopy. She is one of key inventors of photodiode-body-biased MOSFET, which leads to founding of the Foshan Reßtinal Insights Technology Co. Ltd. for design and manufacturing of high-gain optical sensors with a non-avalanche approach.
