Thermal Packaging Utilizing Gallium-Based Liquid Metals

Youngsuk NamĀ  (KAIST)

Biography: Dr. Nam is an associate professor in the mechanical engineering department at the KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology). Before joining the KAIST, he worked for the Kyung Hee University as a full/associate/assistant professor and for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a postdoctoral associate. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2010, and M.S. and B.S. from the Seoul National University. His research interests include understanding micro/nanoscale phase change physics, heat and mass transport phenomena, developing novel nanosurfaces, and combining them together to introduce innovative thermal energy solutions. He is the recipient of the KAIST CGCL Lab., LG Yonam Foundation international scholar award, Kyung Hee outstanding research award, and KSME Young thermal scientist award.
