2010 IEEE Humanitarian Workshop

"Africa's Basic Needs"
Overview
All humans have the rights to access basic goods and services such as food, drinking water, shelter, clothing, health care and education. These rights are one foundation for a decent standard of life. A serious problem is the distribution of goods. Some African countries suffer from rulers whose aim is personal enrichment, thus the desperately needed help does not reach the concerned people. It seems like a vicious circle for the underprivileged.
The goal of this workshop is to analyze and discuss issues when delivering help - also export and logistics - to find solutions to break this circle.
