The first IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT) Asia Conference will be held November 13-16 in Perth, Australia. The Conference, sponsored by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) and Curtin University, will be a forum for the participants to discuss state-of-the-art innovations in smart grid technologies. The Conference will feature special sessions and tutorials by international experts on smart grid applications.
The primary objectives of the conference are to provide high quality research and professional interactions for the advancement of science, technology, and fellowship in the field of smart grid. Papers with new research results or review of recent technologies are encouraged for submission. The conference organizing committee cordially invites researchers and practitioners worldwide to submit papers for review and possible presentation. The Conference scope covers the following general topics with respect to smart grid applications:
- Smart Grid Standards
- Regulatory Aspects, Smart Grid Economics and Market Operations
- Cyber and Physical Security Systems, Information Technology and Communications
- Advanced Metering Infrastructures, Demand Response
- Greenhouse Gas Abatement, Energy Efficiency, Home and Building Management, End User Benefits
- Integration of Renewable and Intermittent Distributed Energy Resources
- Integration of Storage and Grid Solutions for Electric Vehicles
- Reliability, Intelligent Monitoring, Distribution System and Outage Management
Perth hosts the IEEE ISGT Asia Conference. Perth is a cosmopolitan city in an ancient indigenous land with much ethnic and cultural diversity, situated on the banks of Derbarl Yerrigan/the Swan River, less than 12 kilometers from the Indian Ocean. Perth enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with more hours of sunshine than any other capital city in Australia. Western Australia is an enormous State with some of the most ancient landscapes in the world that include rugged gorges, tropical reefs, towering forests, woodlands, bush, desert, white beaches and 12,500 kilometers of coastline. We welcome you to Perth for what promises to be a rich scientific program, balanced with enjoyment of Western Australia's rich cultures, fine cuisine, wines, arts, beaches, surf and landscape.
