Dr. Tang Yi graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, majored in Electrical Engineering. Now he is working for Southeast University as an Associate Professor, member of IEEE and CSEE (Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering). He is a visiting professor in Virginia Tech of U.S.A during 2009 to 2010. In the past three years, he has hosted or taken part in the following projects: 12th Five Years Key Programs for Science and Technology Development of China, 11th Five Years Key Programs for Science and Technology Development of China, National Key Basic Research Program of China, National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China. Except for those national projects, he is also responsible for over ten research projects supported by SGCC (State Grid Corporation of China), EPRI of China and SG-EPRI. In recent years, his research fields are focused on integration and control of wind and solar generation, power system stability analysis and control. He has published nearly thirty papers in academic journals and international conferences.
