You can login to myIEEE and find your member number. It might even be quicker than searching through your wallet. Once you login, roll your mouse over the dynamic greeting. The pop up message that appears will include your member number, member grade, a  quick link to your local section Web page and a list of its officers.
Have you ever attended an event where you need to supply your member number? If you do not have it memorized (no worries, not many members do) you can also access myIEEE on your mobile device. Login to myIEEE and follow the steps described above. Please note that there may be some limitations depending on your mobile device.

The IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES) offers interested professionals a technical forum for all technologies related to ocean engineering as evidenced by the many technical committees, chapters, conferences, awards, and publications.
Members can stay technologically current by networking with each other attending local chapter meetings or OCEANS conferences, participating on a technology committee, or submitting technical articles to the IEEE OES Journal.
