CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Call for Nominations

Dear IEEE PES Boston Chapter Members,

The Boston Chapter of the Power and Energy Society is soliciting nominations for the 2009 Outstanding Engineer Award (OEA). The OEA was established in 1994 by the PES Executive Board to recognize outstanding technical, professional and society contributions on behalf of the power engineer profession.

The nominees will be reviewed by the Awards Committee and the winner will be announced by December 18, 2009. Nominees will be evaluated according to the contributions they have made in one of the following areas:

  • Outstanding technical contributions to the power engineering profession.
  • Outstanding professional and leadership contributions to the power engineering profession
  • Significant contributions to the local community representing the power engineering profession.
  • Outstanding contributions in the area of power engineering education.
  • Service to the Power Engineering Society and/or IEEE.

Please fill out the attached form in its entirety and submit via email to Susan Soergel.

The deadline for all applications is December 8, 2009

The 2009 winner will be presented an OEA plaque at the January 19th Technical Meeting at Olin College, and the announcement will be publicized in local papers and on the Boston PES Chapter website.
