Konal Kumar - Chair
As Michael Haroutunian, the New York GOLD Chair for the year
2009 has taken the role as the new Communications Society Chair. Konal Kumar is
fulfilling the responsibility as the new Chair for the year 2010. Konal Kumar is
a graduate of Polytechnic University with Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
and is also employed with MTA - NYCT for CPM. Konal, a Project Manager Intern,
has been working, for the past year, with the Systems Expansion Group for the
design of Communications systems for the following mega-projects: Second Avenue
Subway, 7 West Extension, Fulton Street Transit Center, and Cortlandt Street
Station. Konal’s responsibility includes the review and coordination of
consultant design for some of the following Communications systems: Closed
Circuit Television, Access Control, Public Address, Fire Alarm, and SONET/ATM.
Konal is also working towards acquiring his Professional Engineering license.
Jithendra Yogarasa
- Vice Chair
Jithendra Yogarasa is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology with
Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering and is also employed with
MTA - NYCT for CPM. He is an Assistant Electrical Engineer with the Wireless
Communications Group. He is currently working on his Master's degree at
Polytechnic University in Computer Engineering. He is also working towards
acquiring his Professional Engineering license.
Patrick Li - Treasurer
Patrick Li is a graduate of Polytechnic University with Bachelors in Electrical
Engineering. He is employed with MTA - NYCT for Capital Program Management. As
an Assistant Electrical Engineer, he works in the Network Applications Communications Group. He is also working towards
acquiring his Professional Engineering license.
Lemuel Grier - Webmaster
Lemuel Grier is a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology
with Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. He is currently employed as an
Assistant Project Coordinator with the MTA - New York City Transit, in the
Capital Program Management department. Lemuel is involved with various
communications applications projects that involve the use of CCTV, access
control, fire alarm and networking technologies. He is currently pursuing a
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at his alma mater, New Jersey
Institute of Technology, while also working towards acquiring his Professional
Engineering license.
