Elena Papavero, Ph.D - Engineers and the New Work Environment: Exploring the Engineering Culture

More often than not we see change coming, but find ourselves less prepared than we would like when it arrives.  The work environment has changed, and there is no lack of advice on how to change along with it. However, most suggestions are generic and may not fit engineers or engineering work. In this interactive session we will examine the new environment, and how the unique attributes of engineers, the engineering discipline, and engineering culture can be used as valuable resources. We will also question whether a more heretical viewpoint could be used to direct the changing environment so that both individuals and organizations benefit.
