Rochester Chapter of the IEEE Computer Society |
In 1997, the CS sponsored a visit by Dr. Joseph Urban to talk about Software Process Improvement. We also sponsored a talk by Dr. Shrihari to talk about Automatic Handwritten Address Recognition. That talk cosponsored with the local chapter of the Society of Women Engineers included an exclusive tour of our local post office.
Also last year the Computer Society sponsored talks by other local experts such as: Dr. Peter Anderson on Order Based Genetic Algorithms, Mr. Michael Lutz on Software Engineering, and Dr. Chris Brown prognosticating on the future of AI in 2020.
