ABSTRACT:
The Talk will cover some of the salient features of the Embedded
System
Technologies with special emphasis on the Real Time Aspects. It
starts
with the applications and highlights the conflicting requirements
of the
Implementation. This brings out the parts or sub assemblies
(Hardware
and Software) that constitute the Embedded System. Also brings
out the
features that are relevant to choose the RTOS that forms the
major
element in the design and Implementation of Real-Time Systems.
The Tools
that are used in the Build-Download and Debug Phase will be
discussed,
to bring out the major attributes in the choice of the RTOS.
The talk ends with a note on the design of a Real Time Kernel or
Executive that can be built using the RTOS or can be custom
developed to
handle most of Uniprocessor Embedded Applications.
