The CASS Chapter of IEEE Calcutta Section had been formed on 27 July 2007 with the approval of IEEE RAB committee; the Chapter’s Geo Code is CH 10420. In short span of August – December 2007, this new chapter arranged 4 technical lecture meetings and a one-day Seminar program viz., CASCOM’07 on 24 November 2007, being organized jointly by the Communications Society Chapter and the Calcutta Section. The Executive Committee of the Chapter had decided to carry out similar activities in 2008 in keeping with the goals and missions of the IEEE. It has been agreed upon to organize a One-day educational program under the “SPAC” activity of the IEEE. The Chapter received a due support from the CAS Society of IEEE R-10 for this program. The program was then finalized as CASCAL’08 with proposed date on Friday 22 august 2008 to be held at Jadavpur University (JU) Campus, Kolkata. The invited expert Speakers were from academia and research organization to talk on emerging fields of Communication Systems and Nano Electronics. |
