Annual New Year's Committee Meeting was held on February 4, 2014 at Chinese restaurant, Daejeon, Korea. In the meeting, there was an aggressive discussion about official plans for 2014, WIE activities, membership grade elevation, invitation plans for new committee members and student members.

Under the sponsorship of IEEE Daejeon Section, the ISUVR 2013 (International Symposium on Ubiquitous Virtual Reality) held on July 10(Wed) - 13(Sat), 2013, KAIST, Daejeon Korea. About 600 participants joined in the conference.
Sponsorship of CEIC 2013 (December 6, 2013)

The 15th CEIC (Conference on Electronics & Information Communications) was held on December 6(Fri), 2013 under the joint sponsorship of IEEE Daejeon Section, IEEK (The Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea, now The Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (IEIE)) and KICS (Korean Institute of Communication Science) at Riviera Hotel, Yuseong, Daejeson, Korea. IEEE Daejeon Section presented an award for distinguished paper as well as financial support.

Co-sponsorship of NGSCA 2013 (October 17~18, 2013)

The 7th International Workshop for Next-Generation Satellite Communications & Applications (NGSCA) had been the highlight of the Korean administration-supported mission on the satellite communications via B3G/4G technologies co-sponsored by IEEE Daejeon Section, on October 17(Thu) - 18(Fri), 2013, Chungnam National University, Daejeon, Korea.

Sponsorship of IEEK Symposium on Electronics 2013 (December 19, 2013)

IEEK Symposium on Electronics 2013 was held on December 19(Thu), 2013 under the sponsorship of IEEE Daejeon Section at Daeduk College, Daejeon, Korea.

For IEEE Open Standard & Standards Education and introduction of Standard Association activities, IEEE-SA Board of Governors (BOG) was visited at Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI), Daejeon, Korea on May 20(Mon) - 21(Tue), 2013.
On 20, Dec. 2012, there was the Meeting of Committee Members of IEEE Daejeon Section at Yusong, Daejeon. Took part in IEEEK Local Conference and discuss the cooperation with the Conference. Also reviewed of 2012 events and planned for 2013 events.
On 7, Dec. 2012, there was the Meeting of Committee Members of IEEE Daejeon Section at Yusong, Daejeon. Committee members discuss with CEIC organizers (also IEEE members) to exchange the technical knowledges of local IEEE members.
On 11, Sept. 2012, there was the Meeting of Committee Members of IEEE Daejeon Section at Yusong, Daejeon. The Section Committee members discuss the strategies to promote members to IEEE votings. Also they discuss the coming events of conferences to be held in local areas.
On 31, Aug. 2012, there was the Meeting of Committee Members of IEEE Daejeon Section at Yusong, Daejeon. The Section Committee members discuss the strategies to develop memberships, and ways to promote the local members to vote for IEEE elections. Also they discuss the coming events of conferences to be held in local areas.
On 22, Aug. 2012, there was the Meeting of Committee Members of IEEE Daejeon Section at Yusong, Daejeon. Committee members took part in ISUVR 2012 and discuss the cooperation with the Conference. Also they discussed the upcoming events.
On 17, Apr. 2012, there was the Meeting of Committee Members of IEEE Daejeon Section at Yusong, Daejeon. Discussions included the 2012 initial committee meeting, Summary of previous year's events, Review of 2012 year plan, Improvement strategy for membership development.
The 2012 Committee Members of Daejeon Section have been determined.

KNU Student Branch of Daejeon Section had the first official meeting.
There are four student branches under IEEE Daejeon Section and there have few events relating to these branches. On November 13, 2009, Student Branch of Kongju National University held a big kick-off meeting for the first time, which financially supported by Daejeon Section. Together with over one hundred students, there were presentations about the introduction of IEEE, the organizations of Regions, Sections, and SB. Many students showed much interest when introducing the activities of other Student Branches in R10. Also, there was discussion to find out ways of having the vigorous activities of KNU SB. We decided to have student-centered activities such as study groups, contests, and regular meetings.
