I am Thankful to IEEE Computer Society for recognizing my all round capabilities and awarding me with the prestigious REM scholarship. It all started with my participation at IEEE VNR SB's Flagship event Inferno in the year 2017 where I had the opportunity to learn, network and grow. I have always been a passionate tech enthusiast exploring various technologies. IEEE CS has helped to explore on the technical front and has given me an exceptional exposure and an edge over my peers in many aspects. Being a volunteer at different levels has nurtured the leader in me and helped me grow both professionally and personally. I am really excited to work towards the motto of IEEE i.e., Advancing Technology for the betterment of Humanity and will give my best to achieve our collective goals. I thank my Student Branch, all my seniors and IEEE volunteers for making my journey so enriching and memorable. Finally I would like to say that IEEE is an ocean of opportunities, one just has to find the suitable boat to experience it.
I commit to Explore, Experiment and Evolve

IEEE India Council Outstanding Student Volunteer Award 2019
I have joined IEEE Computer Society when I was in a very confused phase of my career-motivated but directionless, inspired but without purpose. The community played an important role helping me setting my career goals and molding me to the best version of myself. Even today, the people I rely on professionally and personally all are ones I met through this CS Chapter.Similar, when I had to look any first job in a new continent it was the same Computer Society and IEEE Community that provide a lot of support with referrals and opportunities. Thank you to IEEE CS, I had the chance to interact with these top experts beforehand. So their opinion was well set. IEEE volunteering expands our professional network, and makes us aware of what the world is doing in our technical field. With such strong network,we are not alone when making tough decisions, and it will pay off in the future. We need a professional network of friends outside our company and volunteering for the IEEE, will definitely create one for you Like I always say, being a Student Member is not just about a member grade. It's an emotion, A feeling. The enthusiasm, self motivation and commitment of other IEEE volunteers I have COLLABRATEC with are a constant source of inspiration, encouragement, empowerment and engagement in my career as an engineer to "Advancing technology for Humanity" Read more...

I see IEEE as Exploring Self! When it all started in 2018 at Vaagdevi College of Engineering my thoughts on IEEE is nothing more than a break from regular class work, now after 28 months of journey I feel wrong on my first thought. This IEEE membership gave me a chance to peep into professional world and know more on how organizations work. Being part of "IEEE VCE SB" & "IEEE CS SBC VCE" helped me to know more about my strengths and weaknesses making me complete. IEEE and IEEE CS made major part in my career growth turning me as a leader and a tech enthusiastic. I believe in giving back and in jan'19 after awarding with Richard E. Merwin Scholarship is when I came to know what real happiness in helping people around you grow. IEEE had a great impact in making me and many of people I know go good today! "All this time in IEEE is either you get inspired by people or you inspire people", and any of these will make you a better person.

I am associated with IEEE since the past 4 years and I would say that it's a journey to be cherished. I got to know many new things and it was when I understood what networking is and how valuable it is. All of this made me a better person than what I was before.I first volunteered for AHCSSC'19 at the section level and then later on volunteered for many events. I then eventually applied for the Richard E Merwin Scholarship in 2019 Spring cycle and was fortunate enough to be one of the awardees. The scholarship has given me global recognition and I could proudly say that IEEE is one of the best things that I'm a part of in my life.

I was just like any other student doing undergraduation in Hyderabad until I became a part of IEEE. Being an IEEE volunteer has helped me become what I am today both personally and professionally. It has provided me with opportunities to make myself better in every aspect of life. I'm thankful to IEEE CS for the recognition and I'll always be indebted to it. I wish there was an IEEE CS Chapter in every college in Hyderabad Section so as to bring the opportunities under limelight to all the students and provide a platform to prove themselves and I strive towards achieving it. In the end, I'd like to say that every student tries hard to stand out from the rest and I believe IEEE is one productive way to do that.

IEEE CS Chapter gave a wonderful opportunity and trusted many volunteers. It also intended many thoughts and actions to inspire and encourage the IEEE members to exchange ideas to interact and tap into an extensive network of professionals and thus kindle the fire within them. IEEE Computer Society's Richard E. Merwin Scholarship, has been my dream since I started contributing my skills to IEEE MVSR Student Branch. It's my pleasure to work as an IEEE Student Ambassador. I am serving as Chairperson at IEEE MVSR Student Branch. In my role, I had arranged seminars, webinars, guest lectures, and organized national technical symposium "Technovanza". As a leader, I always strive to improve the student branch by increasing the membership count by motivating them. As a good communicator, I have always strived hard to drive lot of people into IEEE Computer Society to get them exposed to more of corporate techniques and enhancing technical skills. In my role as a student ambassador, I worked a lot to create a larger community, and support networking, and increased technical understanding. To increase the activities in my student branch, I would like to further connect all the volunteers and members more closely. It's always my vision and mission to make IEEE Computer Society active and sustainable so student benefits increase over time.During this lockdown period of Corona Pandemic, as a part of mentorship programme, I gave my level best to broadcast technical sessions. I would like to thank my student branch counsellor, Dr. D. Hari Krishna for supporting me to conduct all the events and being a backbone for a smooth conduct. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the societies and chapters advisors of IEEE MVSR SB. I would like to thank IEEE CS Hyderabad section for giving me opportunity for presenting testimonial and encouraging REM scholars. Read more...

I'm pleased to be part of the IEEE Hyderabad Computer Society Chapter as a volunteer as well as a delegate for many of the events organized by the section chapter. This gave me a great opportunity to know more about myself, helped me to expand my network, and also helped me get many opportunities in IEEE. I'm very much delighted that our IEEE CS Hyderabad Section Chapter always aims for the betterment of the student community, the events done by the chapter were always unique and every event will definitely bring a significant impact on the individual. We also have a dynamic section chapter Execom, who always mentors the student members, motivates them to come up with new ideas, and always extend their support. It would be unusual to be part of the IEEE CS Hyderabad Section, I also say to everyone who is reading this to utilize all the opportunities that are being provided by IEEE CS Hyderabad Section.

Sometimes being part of a team makes you feel special and blissful and brings an enormous change in your life. When people ask me what is the team , that makes you feel so unique, I will say IEEE. IEEE made me feel momentous and worthy. It drove me in the direction where me and my ambition belong to. It made me ambitious. I always dreamt of achieving something big, but was afraid of the hurdles i have to face and I felt I might take wrong steps but IEEE taught me to fight like a warrior and the one who has a pure Soul with a vision for good will always achieve success. When I was announced as the Richard E Merwin Scholarship awardee, I forgot all the hard work I have done and obstacles i have gone through. I believe this success is because of a team that was constructive, dedicated and unnaturally perfect who supported and encouraged me to learn and never quit. I will always be thankful and faithful to my respected student Branch Counselor, Dr.Y.Padma Sai Garu and my dearest Seniors Muttya Sai Phandira, Mounika D, Samrin and Sruthi who invoked my potential and guided me in the right path. I would like to show my sincere gratitude and heartfelt love to my co- Volunteer Chandana Pannala,Chowke Indu and all my IEEE VNR members. I would like to take the privilege of thanking IEEE Hyderabad Section for letting me share my beautiful yet difficult journey to motivate my fellow volunteers.Read more...

Winning the Richard E. Merwin reflects the strength of my commitment and volunteering in the Computer Society. Words cannot express how grateful I am to receive the Prestigious Richard E Merwin Scholarship. As John Ruskin says, "The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it". Sometimes it feels like all your hard work goes unnoticed but the IEEE Computer Society has shown me that my sincerity has been noticed and have rewarded me. The unique attribute of being recognized for volunteering creates immense pleasure and motivates me to do more work. The transition from a student member to a student ambassador was very gradual and Involves a lot of hard work and determination. Later, this helped me to become the Section Student Representative of the Hyderabad Section. Remember that all things are possible for those who believe in themselves.
