Jammer Cancellation with Linear Arrays
In the interference-free case the weights are chosen to maximize gain in a desired direction, with some loss accepted in order to achieve good sidelobes.

If there are jammers, the weight vector is calculated to optimize S/(I+N) just as in the ASLC problem. Nulls can be placed on jammers with little penalty in terms of adapted S/N ratio.
