Director's and Chapter Chair reports

Student Activities (Neville Jacobs):
1. As of 12-04-02, we had the following teams signed up:
14 2-leg, 1 automation from Charles Flowers HS (New)
2 2-leg, from Pikesville HS
3 2-leg, 2 4-leg, 5 automation from Beth Tfiloh HS
1 2-leg, 1 4-leg, 1 automation from Perry Hall HS
1 2-leg from Owings Mills HS
2 2-leg, 1 4-leg from Spirit of Faith Home School
1 2-leg, 1 4-leg, 1 automation from Western School of T&E
2 2-leg, 1 4-leg, from Bowie HS
1 2-leg from Bittersweet Co-op
1 2-leg from Oxon Hill HS
1 2-leg (possible) from Glenelg HS
This amounted to 11 schools with 29 2-legged teams, 6 4-legged teams, 8 automation kits and 41 regular kits.
Changes as of 01-13-03 is as follows:
1 2-leg from Arundel HS
1 2-leg, from Samuel A. Banks HS (New)
1 2-leg from C. Milton Wright HS
1 2-leg from Southern Sr. HS (New)
1 2-leg from Guywen Park HS (New)
This represents 16 schools with 33 2-legged teams, 7 4-legged teams, 8 automation kits and 47 regular kits.

Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI) has sent a mailing 01/10 to all teams that participated last year but have not yet signed on this year.

2. The kit availability situation has somewhat improved. About 15 kits have had parts replaced and returned to service. As a result BMI has 11 kits in inventory.
3. A training session for teachers and mentors is planned for Saturday January 25 at BMI. Need volunteers to present the sessions.
4. Considering the number of training sessions over the summer and the presentations at the Section Congress, we have not had a high number of responses. Perhaps we need to follow up with those who expressed interest at the Congress and those who attended the training session at the Eastern Shore.
5. Charles Flowers HS is doing a truly remarkable job sending in the status of their teams every 2 weeks. It would be great if more teams were as thorough. Need to start assigning team numbers and communicating these to the schools.
6. Payments received as follows:
Beth Tfiloh $896
Western School of T&E $157
Parkville $372
Charles Flowers $285 (out of $703)
Payments pending from:
Charles Flowers $418
Perry Hall $157
Bowie $137
Spirit of Faith $137

Other sections $381.74
Total projected revenue $2943.74

7. Expenses this past month is $193.38 (submitted to treasurer).
