The Baltimore Section of the IEEE, in close collaboration
with the Continuing Education Committee (CEC) and the Continuing Education
Products and Business Development Department of the Educational Activities
Board (EAB) of the IEEE, is organizing and sponsoring a series of online
courses for group or individual participation, eligible for CEU credits. The
fourth online course, to be taken individually, is planned for Oct 14-29, 2023.
These courses are part of the IEEE
eLearning program, offered through the IEE Learning
Network (ILN), and are being made accessible to the Baltimore
Section at a deep discount (click here

course program). The Baltimore Section extends an invitation to
neighboring sections in Area South of Region 2 (Washington DC and Northern

Description
This course provides an overview
of machine learning in the age of big data, cloud computing, and our
data-saturated society. Business leaders will learn of the various types of
machine learning, and how they can be used with a variety of enterprise data
holdings and publicly available data to develop deeper insights in the business
environment; understand basic computational intelligence paradigms, and
how machine learning is integral to the field; learn the technical
vocabulary and high-level concepts of machine learning in a manner that
demystifies the topic and enables them to ask the right questions on the
deployment of machine learning into business operations.
