Ronald Aasen (M'76, SM'91) )received a B.E.E. degree from the City
College of N.Y. in 1970, and a M.E.A.(Engineering Administration) degree
from George Washington University in 1980. Mr. Aasen is an Electrical
Engineer with the State Department Office of Foreign Buildings
Operations. He held several positions with the Voice of America, Office
of Engineering including Electrical Engineer, Chief of the Quality
Assurance Branch, and Project Manager. He has previously worked for the
FAA Technical Center in New Jersey and at Headquarters in Washington,
and has also worked for International Airports Projects in Jeddah, Saudi
Arabia. Mr. Aasen is a Registered P.E. in New Jersey and Maryland, and
is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. He is presently Vice-Chair of the
IEEE National Capital Area Council, and Vice-Chair of the Washington
IEEE/IAS Chapter. Mr. Aasen authored technical papers for the IEEE
Industry Applications and Broadcast Technology Societies.
