Our guest speaker this month will be Dr. Kenneth Shere of The Aerospace Corporation. He will be speaking on "Multifaceted Approaches to Building Complex Quality Systems".
Dr. Kenneth Shere is a senior engineer specialist with The Aerospace Corporation, providing software engineering, systems engineering, and acquisition support to a variety of space programs. Prior to working at Aerospace he was an independent consultant, a Vice-President and partner in Avtec Systems a small systems engineering company, a Technical Director and Software Engineering Department Manager for PRC, Inc., and a government employee for the Naval Surface Warfare Center. Dr. Shere is the author of sixteen papers, the editor of the book Analytical Concepts in Command and Control (Gordon and Breach Science Publishers, 1982), and the author of Systems Engineering and Management (Prentice Hall, 1988). He is currently writing a book titled Multifaceted Approaches to Building Complex Quality Systems. Dr. Shere's areas of expertise include systems and software engineering, business enterprise environments, quality assurance, IV&V, modeling and simulation, and proposal development. Dr. Shere has a Ph.D. in Mathematics and a B. S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, both from the University of Illinois. |
