Paul J. Ferretti is a Senior Web and Visualization Developer at Complete Data Solutions (CDS) and has over twenty years of software design and development experience. He currently works on a contract providing software support to the DEA. Previously he was the senior web developer on a contract for the United States Postal Service and has provided operations support to FEMA. In addition to the many years of government contracting experience Mr. Ferretti also spent five years working for an international telecommunications company and was the lead web developer during the company's Year 2000 remediation exercise. Mr. Ferretti has an additional five years of teaching experience at Northern Virginia Community College where he has taught classes in Event Driven Programming, Database Design and PL/SQL.
Mr. Ferretti received his Masters in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix along with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Oswego and an Associates Degree in Mechanical Technology from Onondaga Community College. Mr. Ferretti is also a Teredata Certified Professional V2R5 and a Certified Scrum Master.
Mr. Ferretti is a member of the ACM, a senior member of the IEEE, and has been a member of the IEEE Computer Society since 2004 and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society since 2005. He has served as the Washington DC/Northern Virginia Chapter Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Webmaster.
Mr. Ferretti's current interest in robotics are in autonomous vehicles and telerobotics. He has built a number of small robots to explore aspects of both autonomy and telepresence.
