Orlando Section elects officers for a term
of one year beginning January 1st. On
September 2nd the Nomination/Election Committee,
headed by Mr. George McClure, presented the
following candidates at the ExCom meeting:

Section 50th Anniversary Celebration
- Call
for proposals/suggestions/articles
The IEEE Orlando Section
was established in 1959, and 2009 will be
50th
anniversary. The Section is planning a
series of major celebration events. We are
calling for proposals for celebration
events, activities, suggestions, ideas,
and other contributions for the big
celebration. Currently we are planning an
exhibitions showing the 50 year history of
Orlando Section, and publication of a
collection of articles from former and
current Section members. We are collecting
ideas, suggestions, and possible
exhibition items, e.g. photos, stories
about major events or prominent
section members, etc. Articles and other
contributions from former section officers
are particular welcome and encouraged.
