Membership Development Report for
December 2009:
As of November 25, 2009, there were 1498 active members of
all grades in the Orlando Section. This is an increase of 33 from 1465 members
of October 22, 2009.

Notable increases have occurred at the Student Member (+16),
Graduate Student Member (+19), and Affiliate Member (+4) grades, since the last
reporting period. However, there has been a steady decline at the Member
grade, down 11 since the last reporting period. The growth in Student and
Graduate Student memberships is due to in-migration to the Orlando Section and
the residual effect of the student membership drives at UCF and VCC.
Over the 31 days, ending on November 23, 2009, 23 new members joined the
Orlando Section: 4 Members, 15 Student Members, 2 Graduate Student Members, and
2 Associate Members. See the attached list of new members in the Orlando
Section.
Over the 31 days, ending on November 24, 2009, 12 active IEEE
members moved into the Orlando Section: 1 Associate Member, 1 Graduate Student
Member, 1 Life Member, 7 Members, and 2 Student Members. See the attached
list of incoming existing members to the Orlando Section.

the November Membership Development Conference Call, webcast on November 14,
2009, is attached as a compressed (.zip) file.
The incentive program of
Region 3 to increase higher-grade membership in all Sections will last over the
2010 recruitment year, ending August 31, 2010. Each Section will be given
$5 for each new, not transferred, higher-grade member, who joins the Section
between September 1, 2009 and August 31, 2010. Since September 1,
2009, only 6 new Members have joined the Orlando Section.
Current members at all grades
are strongly encouraged to recruit new members at the higher
grade.
The next general IEEE Membership Development
Conference Call is scheduled for January 12,
2010.
