As of September 16, 2010, there were 1402 members active
members of all grades in the Orlando Section. This is an increase of 13
from the 1389 members tallied on August 19, 2010. A closer
examination of the membership counts by grade for the last three reporting
periods is shown below.

Changes occurred for the following grades: Affiliate (1), Associate Member (-2), Graduate Student Member
(6), Life Fellow (-1), Life Member (-1), Life Senior (1), Member (-2), and Student Member (11).
From August 17, 2010 through September 16, 2010, 15 new
IEEE members joined the Orlando Section: 2 Members, 9
Student Members, and 4 Graduate Student Members. Please welcome these new IEEE
members; their names appear on the attached list of new
members to the Orlando Section.
From August 17, 2010
through September 16, 2010, 22 active IEEE members moved into the
Orlando Section: 2 Associate Members,16 Members, 2
Student Members, 1 Graduate Student Member, and 1 Life Fellow. Please
welcome the IEEE members who have moved to the Orlando Section. Their
names are shown on the attached list of existing members who
have joined the Orlando Section during this period.
The next
webcast for the IEEE Membership Development Committee is scheduled for
Saturday, September 18, 2010. Attached please find the PDF
file of IEEE Membership Statistics through the August 2010 reporting
period.
William Hortos, MD Chair of the Orlando Section, is scheduled to deliver a brief presentation on the benefits of IEEE Student Membership to students in an engineering course, offered by Prof. Deborah Hall, at Valencia Community College, West Campus, on Tuesday, September 21, 2010.
Prior to the start of the October monthly meeting of the IEEE Orlando Section Executive Committee on October 5, 2010, there will be an initial 2010-2011 information meeting for members in the Orlando Section who want to pursue elevation in grade to Senior Member. Details are provided below:
