Please welcome these new IEEE members. Their names and technical interests appear on the attached list of new IEEE members to the Orlando Section.
From May 19, 2011 through July 20, 2011, 8 active IEEE members moved to the Orlando Section: 1 Associate Member, 4 Members, 1 Senior Member, 1 Graduate Student Member, and 1 Student Member. Please welcome the IEEE members who have moved to the Orlando Section. Their names along with their technical interests are shown on the attached list.
The balance of member increases is directly attributable to the reinstatement of former Members in Arrears.
The number of Members in Arrears in the Orlando Section has been reduced to 314, as of July 21, 2011. The current list is attached to this report. We must persist in the recovery of these lapsed members.
The June and July web casts of the IEEE Membership Development Committee were conducted on Saturday, June 18, 2011, and Saturday, July 16, 2011, based on May and June 2011 membership data, respectively. An extraordinary web cast of the MD Committee for Regions 1-6 and MD Section Chairs to strategize methods to reverse the membership declines in these regions was held on Thursday, June 30, 2011. No PDF files of these web casts were accessible by the report deadline. The next MD web cast is scheduled for September 18, 2011.
