Orlando Section Membership Development Report - May 25, 2011


The number of active members at all grades in the Orlando Section grew from 124, on April 20, 2011,  to 1283, on May 23, 2011. 

A comparison with the totals for May 20, 2010 shows significant year-over-year losses in the Orlando Section, particularly among Members, Graduate Student Members, and Student Members.

Recent increases occurred in the following grades:  Affiliate (4), Associate Member (2), Graduate Student Member (9), Member (10), Senior Member (2), and Student Member (7).

From April 25, 2011 through May 18, 2011, 16 new members joined the Orlando Section:  3 Members, 6 Graduate Student Members, and 7 Student Members. Please welcome these new IEEE members. Their names and technical interests appear on the attached list of new IEEE members to the Orlando Section.

From April 23, 2011 through April 30, 2011, 4 active IEEE members moved to the Orlando Section:  1 Associate Member, 1 Member, and 2 Student Members. Please welcome the IEEE members who have moved to the Orlando Section.  Their names along with their technical interests are shown on the attached list.

The balance of member increases is directly attributable to the reinstatement of former Members in Arrears.

The number of Members in Arrears in the Orlando Section has been reduced to 322, as of May 25, 2011. The current list is attached to this report.  Active Section members must continue to work to recover these lapsed members.

 

The most recent web casts of the IEEE Membership Development Committee were conducted on Saturday, May 21, 2011, and Wednesday, May 25, 2011, based on April 2011 membership data.  A PDF file of the web-cast content is attached to this report.  The next MD web cast is scheduled for June 18, 2011.
