Homeland Security Technology Issues The Department of Homeland Security has been created to collect information and quickly respond to threats to the United States of America. The challenges to accomplish these goals will require new technological advances. Dr. Dutta is on a National Research Council Committee to provide recommendations to the US Army on which areas of technology need to be addressed. These technologies cover the four scenarios of Indications and warning, denial and survivability, recovery and consequence management and finally attribution and retaliation. |
