The IEEE EMCFest'2002 speaker information:
Chris Kendall, CEO and Principal Consultant for CKC Laboratories, has presented hundreds of workshops worldwide on EMC design, testing and standards. In the past 38 years, Chris has also been the chief EMC consultant for a multitude of commercial, medical, military and avionics projects. Beyond his vast knowledge of EMC, Chris is a gifted teacher and lecturer. Attendee interaction, in the form of questions and other inputs, are a valuable aspect of every Chris Kendall workshop.
Mike Hatfield has been with the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Dahlgren, VA, since receiving his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia Tech in 1979. Since 1982 he has been in the Systems Electromagnetic Effects Branch where he is in charge of development and operation of the NSWC Reverberation Chamber Facility. He is a member of the IEEE EMC Society and has been actively publishing articles about Reverberation Chambers in the EMC Transactions and at the EMC Symposia since 1988. The IEEE EMC Society awarded Mike the Richard R. Stoddard Award in 1995 and the Laurence G. Cumming Award in 1997 for his work with Reverberation Chambers

The Program
EMC Fest 2002 consists of a series of technical sessions addressing Design for EMC and Reverberation Test Techniques..
EMC Fest '2002 sessions will cover the following topics:
Designing products to comply with various automotive EMC immunity test standards.
Demonstrations of the techniques discussed during each session will be held from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm during the reception. Tabletop exhibits will be open during registration, lunch, all breaks, and the reception. Access to tabletop displays is available during the sessions, but the displays may not be manned during those times.

*The Dearborn Inn Hotel is offering reduced room rates for reservations. IEEE Special Room rates are available for $159.00 (single or double occupancy), plus 14% tax. After April 1st rooms and rates are subject to availability. The Dearborn Inn Hotel is located 15 minutes from Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

The registration fee includes one copy of the EMC Fest record, continental breakfast, lunch, and reception. The organizing committee reserves the right to substitute speakers, restrict size, or to cancel the EMC Fest. In the event EMC Fest is canceled by the organizing committee, registration fees will be fully refunded. Individuals that cancel their registration prior to March 22 will receive a full refund. No refunds will be made to individuals who cancel their registration after March 22. Attendance is limited. Registration will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis.
