Dustin Eiland

Past Chair, Education Chair

 

Dustin is a Transmission Line Design Engineer at Xcel Energy in Amarillo Texas. He graduated with

a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University in May of

2003. After graduation from Kansas State he spent four years as an enlisted Marine in the United

State Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge from the military in 2008 he began working at

Xcel Energy in the Transmission Line Department. In June of 2012 Dustin finished a Masters of Science Degree in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado Denver. He is a member

of the Power and Energy Society of IEEE. He has also held the position of Treasurer, Secretary, Vice

Chair, and Chair on the IEEE Panhandle Section Board. As the Education Chair of the section, Dustin

hopes to continue to provide a quality professional development seminar for the engineers in the

West Texas Area.
