Kandas is a System Protection Engineer with Xcel Energy. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University. She started with Xcel as a Substation Design Engineering contractor and became a full time Xcel employee when she was hired into System Protection Engineering. She enjoys playing sports, especially basketball and tennis, making decorations for her house, reading, and spending as much of her time with her husband as possible.
