Prashanth  Buyanni

PACE Chair

 

Prashanth Buyanni is working as a Transmission Planning Engineer at Xcel Energy. He received his BSEE from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India. He came to United States in 2007 to pursue his higher education where he obtained his MSEE from New Mexico State University located in Las Cruces, NM. His thesis was focused on developing sequence impedance models for fuel cell fed distributed generator. Prior to joining Xcel Energy in 2010, Prashanth had gained industry experience by working as an Intern at ABB Inc in Raleigh, NC where he was involved in Power Systems and Energy Markets. He is currently serving as the PACE chair for IEEE Panhandle section and is also an active member of IEEE PES. Outside of work, he likes playing cricket and golf.
