Roland Azcarraga

Web Chair

 

Roland is a Senior Specialty Engineer in the Transmission Planning Department of Xcel Energy in Amarillo Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines. His work experience ranges from distribution and substation design, controls,  power plant design, and  T&D commissioning. He is a Senior IEEE member and affiliated with the Power and Energy Society. He held positions in the IEEE Panhandle Section Board as Arrangement Chair, Director, Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice Chair before becoming Chairperson in 2002. He also served as Community Service Chair and is currently serving as Web Chair. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
