To be successful in the residential market, it must be offered at less than $50/mo, including ISP service.
- Cable companies offering high speed access and @Home for $29.95, if you buy the modem. Cable upgrades being done to provide digital entertainment. Data services are getting a “free ride”.
Regulatory issues are a mess.
