In the summer of last year Flomerics acquired KCC Ltd., UK based company specializing in electromagnetic analysis. KCC is well known in high frequency electromagnetics for its unique and powerful approach to modeling electromagnetic fields - the 3-D time-domain Transmission-Line Modeling (TLM) method. The TLM method has been developed over a period of 20 years and distilled into a high quality software product to create an industry-leading tool called Micro-Stripes for microwave and antenna design.  Flomerics Inc. is searching for two engineers to assist in modeling and supporting the Micro-Stripes product. The TLM method has been developed over a period of 20 years and distilled into a high quality software product to create an industry-leading tool called Micro-Stripes for microwave and antenna design.  Recently, KCC has developed exciting new TLM techniques ideally suited to EMC analysis. The technology enables components such as wires, apertures and gaskets to be included in a system level analysis of electromagnetic emissions from electronics equipment.  In designing enclosures for electronics equipment, trade-offs have to be made between the thermal engineer and the EMC engineer. For this reason, Flomerics is integrating the electromagnetic analysis into its FLOTHERM tool. This development will produce a new product called FLO/EMC, with a familiar interface to FLOTHERM users, enabling engineers to consider both the thermal and EMC issues in a design.  Flomerics is searching for two engineers to assist in modeling and supporting the new FLOEMC product. The engineers will also provide consultancy and design support to new and existing customers. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: These engineers will have 2-4 years of hands-on design experience in the EMC industry.  Strong background in one of more of the following is desirable: EMC design at the system level, board level EMC or electromagnetic analysis.  Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation software is an advantage and a BS or MS in electrical engineering or related field. Proven track record of effectively interfacing with different levels in an organization preferred.
