In such crowded fast-rhythm world, Work-Life Balance has become an urging need for each working human being a male or a female; however, it’s much more urging for females due to the multiple roles they are playing in their lives. Pursuing successful careers while preserving their families is the daily rush they go through. Thus, IEEE Egypt Women In Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group is pleased to invite your company to participate in the "Best Work- Life Balance Working Environment” 2010 competition. The aim of the competition is to promote the work-life balance culture among Science and Technology companies and organizations in Egypt and to improve their working environments in a way that maintains balanced female employees. Companies and organizations working in S&T field are going to yearly compete in presenting/developing creative working models that consider the needs and duties of a working female. Companies should be able to guarantee that these models are applicable in their environments. A prototype is considered as a plus. "Best Work-Life Balance Working Environment" Award will be given in the Egyptian Engineering Day (EED). This award stands as recognition of your company’s leading role in developing the society by supporting working women in Egypt. As a major player in the S&T field, your company is one of our highly regarded companies and your involvement in the competition will add value to your company and our program alike. Complete and submit the registration form to women.egypt@ieee.org . Registration deadline is the 25th of May 2010. IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, the mission of IEEE WIE is to inspire, engage, encourage, and empower IEEE women worldwide.

IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women and men innovating the world of tomorrow.

With the support of our dear professors; a group of energetic young women engineers started WIE affinity group in Egypt in June 2008, since that time the core team has been busy setting tracks, goals, and plans for the Egyptian affinity group

And as the volunteers are the heart of any non-profit organizational work, Our strength is a result of the time and effort provided by those who volunteer to serve their society, we are announcing volunteering opportunities in Egyptian WIE Affinity group as we are working in several areas starting from Work life Balance, Social Engineering, Mentoring, networking to Unleashing kids abilities which are the direct concerns of all Egyptian women engineers

If you want to become part of the WIE volunteer team, now is the time to let us know. We have volunteer opportunities at our coming conferences and programs. If you have experience, passion and a willingness to share, we hope that you will consider participating as a volunteer with us.
