Η πρώτη διάλεξη είχε τίτλο "Design of components of vehicles based upon Solidworks - Elaboration of design drawings", και δόθηκε από τον Yuliyan Dimitrov, Asistant, University of Ruse, Bulgaria. Η δεύτερη διάλεξη είχε τίτλο "Quality Management Principles, Tools and Systems", και δόθηκε από τον Tzvetelin Gueorguiev, Principal Assistant, University of Ruse, Bulgaria.
"Design of components of vehicles based upon Solidworks - Elaboration of design drawings", Yuliyan Dimitrov, Asistant, University of Ruse, Bulgaria. Summary The topical problem of the decreasing amount of natural resources as well as the environmental pollution caused by the large number of automobiles has been the focal point of the introductory lecture. The proposed solution of this problem is the idea that we must lower the consumption of natural resources and optimize the processing of waste products. Solving this problem requires active work in the following three directions - use of new fuels, increasing the effectiveness of automobiles and optimizing their design in order to lower the fuel consumption. The mechanical and automotive engineers play a pivotal role in solving environmental pollution and natural resources consumption problems. These specialists are people in charge of servicing and repairing automobiles, designers of parts, mechanisms, and installations in automobiles, technologists - specialists providing the technologies for producing automobile element. The greatest help for these engineers in creating an automobile during the design process is the CAD system. The CAD system is a combination of hardware and software that enables engineers to design virtually everything. It requires a computer, equipped with specialized software called CAD software. Computer Aided Design software is the use of computer systems to assist in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. CAD often involves more than just shapes. As in the manual drafting of technical and engineering drawings, the output of CAD must convey information, such as materials, processes, dimensions, and tolerances, according to application-specific conventions. CAD may be used to design curves and figures in two-dimensional (2D) plain; or curves, surfaces, and solids in three-dimensional (3D) space. The lecturer has presented the possibilities provided by drawing with the aid of 2D AutoCAD and a 3D mechanical CAD program called SolidWorks. The steps for building a model (part), drawing and assembly in SolidWorks have been shown in detail. Other CAD software packages which are direct competitors to SolidWorks have been covered briefly: CATIA and Solid Edge. The lecture concluded with a demonstration of some specific features when drawing a model (part), drawing and assembly in SolidWorks. "Quality Management Principles, Tools and Systems", Tzvetelin Gueorguiev, Principal Assistant, University of Ruse, Bulgaria. Summary The first lecture was a discussion on the eight quality management principles outlined in ISO 9000:2005, their official interpretation by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and parallels with popular proverbs and sayings. The general idea is to highlight the importance of standards and on their feature to concentrate the experience of humankind and of industry leaders in particular. The second lecture built on the aforementioned principles and presented some of the fundamental terms, structures and techniques recommended by ISO for the practical application of a QMS. The third lecture demonstrated how the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle can be applied to flowcharting practically all QMS processes, fitting the flowchart in the so called SIPOC diagram (abbreviated from Supplier - Inputs - Process steps - Outputs - Customer). The fourth lecture has presented how a specific quality record - the control plan - prescribed for use by the AIAG and ISO/ TS 16949, can prove that many standard requirement are implemented and managed using the PDCA sequence of steps. The audience of A.T.E.I. students and professors has been briefed on historical and current trends in the development of quality and quality related initiatives in Bulgaria and at the University of Ruse. The series of lecturers concluded with an attractive video called 'The Handy Guide to Quality' by the organizers of the World Quality Day - the CQI. |
