An one-day workshop was organized by the chapter on 7 March 2000 in Thessaloniki on "Advanced Telematic Systems for Traffic Management and Accident Avoidance" aiming to support the preparation of national transport infrastructure for the Olympic Games 2004. About 40 participants attended the event most of them not being members of the chapter. All the relevant authorities (ministries, police service, construction companies) were represented and the conclusions reached were considered very interesting and helpful to the administration organizations. |
